2010: Odyssey Two
A worthy successor to 2001. It’s impressive to find a sequel to such a reverential book that manages to keep the reader in a constant being of awe. The descriptions of Jupiter and its surrounding moons paint a picture of something no human in this lifetime will see for themselves, yet they make you feel as if you were actually there weightless in both body and mind.
Only real complaint is that I wish it would have been a direct sequel to the book, as opposed to the film. Kind of odd…
